In a bid to enhance emergency and disaster response capacity in the agency, The Regional Disaster Coordinator , Mr Lamin Saidy is attending a two (2) weeks Capacity Building Training on Comprehensive Protection of Civilians Course (CPOC) at the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS) in Embakasi,Nairobi, Kenya. The training course is supported by the Peace Operations Training Centre (POTC), the British Peace Support Team – Africa (BPST – A) and the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC).
The training aims  to equip participants with relevant knowledge and skills to effectively support Peace and Complex Emergency operations. The Protection of Civilians (PoC) is also very critical in humanitarian disaster mitigation and response in conflict settings.
