In response to the impacts of the 2022 floods, The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services The Gambia (CRS) and Future In Our Hands The Gambia (FIOHTG) successfully distributed Cash and Water Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) items to affected households.
NDMA in coordination with CRS allotted GMD 3000 for three consecutive months using digital Cash distribution services (i.e. APS).
The WASH materials were intended to provide necessities to flood victims, namely the most vulnerable groups such as female-headed households, pregnant and breastfeeding women and persons with disabilities. The Wash Material were distributed by NDMA in collaboration with CRS AND FIOHTG.
