The National Disaster Management Agency is delighted to announce the successful validation of The Gambia’s National Disaster Risk Mitigation Plan (NDRMP) 2025–2033.
This landmark plan sets the foundation for a safer, more resilient Gambia empowering national institutions, local authorities, communities, households, Civil Society Organization and Development partners.
The plan aligns with global frameworks like the Sendai Framework and the SDGs.
Developed through inclusive consultations and backed by national commitment and support from NGOs such as CRS, the NDRMP is a bold step toward proactive disaster risk reduction and sustainable development.
The Agency thank the His Excellency, The Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, CRS Regional Director for Central and West Africa, UN Resident Coordinator for gracing the occasion. The financial and technical support from CRS and UNICEF are also appreciated. Kudos to all stakeholders, partners, and communities who made the day possible!
